Viewer Inspiration

All this week, I'm running pictures of inspirational pets. Leslie is a viewer in SEATTLE who recently sent me this photo of her dog Engel.

From the picture she sent, I can see that he is a happy dog despite the fact he apparently has no legs, ribs, or major bodily organs.

Bless your heart, Engel. Or whatever it is that's keeping you alive. You're an inspiration to us all.

 

Viewer Freakout

Max is a cat. He's owned by Jean, my viewer in WASHINGTON. Look at the picture on the left. Isn't Max sweet?

Now look at the picture on the right. The lady with the bandages is Jean's mother. She tried to take Max on an airplane ride. In return, Max decided he would send her to the emergency ward.

Max won't be getting on an airplane again anytime soon.

Viewer Inspiration

This week I'm going to feature some inspirational viewer pets. As you can see here, Boda has no chest cavity, hind legs, or tail. He is just a pair of shoulders, and a cat head, on legs. 

Boda remains upbeat despite the fact he falls on his face everytime he tries to swat yarn.

Granny

Meet Granny Smith--  featured in show 99 of Cute with Chris. 

Although Granny has cataracts and a bit of rear leg weakness, she loves her leash walks.

Granny is good with cats and other dogs and seems to like everyone she meets. She is friendly, playful, and likes being brushed and having her ears scratched. She is also house-trained, crate-trained and very well-behaved indoors. Granny will make a great companion for someone who wants a gentle, loyal friend to hang out with. She is 10+ years old and about 30 lbs.

In case you missed it, Cute with Chris is profiled in this month's issue of Bark Magazine; available at major book stores everywhere. And epsiode 87 "Canada vs. America: Whose Kittens are Cuter?" recently made Top Ten on The Daily Reel's round-up of original online video.

Thursday's Cutedown

Although I think "New and Improved Puppy" will win this cutedown, I'm going to cast my vote for faded teen superstar "Corey Haim". I feel a special kinship with Corey. After all, Corey is VH1's Eighth Greatest Teen Star, and I'm Canada's Ninth Most Talented Unknown Actor. Don't you think it's time Corey made his comeback? Leave your comment below.
