Here's a rough version of the video I'm working on for the archive of my recent LIVE show. Ultimately, some version of this will be the lead post in an extensive catalogue of the project. More to come as I work out the details.

Dude Chris, that's awesome. I was wondering how you got started ever since I discovered your program. They always told us in High School that theatre had no future, but perhaps it does, just in the internet.... cool deal.

VOTING ON CUTENESS

yep, i get it... our band has the same issues with getting people to our shows. we play folk/indie/rock/jazz, and man, do a lot of people not get that stuff.
we have no problem getting into festivals and other venues, but issues selling tickets/and or getting people to show up! Although we have a few more people at an average show (anywhere from 60-120 people, thanks to some aggressive promotion and a close-knit group of artists and musicians!) the issues are the same.
Critically we are pretty damned good (as I believe you are as well, Chris). Where are all the people? Perhaps we should get onto this interweb thing and try it out... hmmm....
p.s. ottawaJess, fringe fest volunteers are the BEST audience... it's just nice to see a little revenue too!

Chris, I adore you. I'm a professional visual arts critic (another reason I spend time trying to convince people I am not scary) and you bring to the table what will bring people to the theatre, to the galleries...quality. I think you should sell your live performances and video work as a traveling exhibition to museums. I am being totally, totally serious. I will curate.

Thank you for fighting for us. Thank you for letting us know you, Chris.

I sense that Chris might be trying to advance his career.

Take it to the stage, Chris. Everybody wants you. It's cold and wet in Tacoma.
High five.

Chris, sometimes you send shivers down my spine. You are amazing.
To "Single Kelly": Who ISN'T trying to advance their career? Silly Human, do you have a problem with successful people?

One good thing about Toronto is that you can stand out on the street at 10:30pm and NOT get mugged.
Torontonians will politely 'shoo' you away so that the can go drink in their Sports Bars and go over the hockey scores!
What a country!!!!
:D
(P.S. sorry My Lord, but after all this wonderful sobby drivel above me, comment-wise, a dab of humour had to be added.)

Well I guess most of the things have been said in the previous posts but I just want to tell you one thing chris, If I will ever be able to entertain or inspire even a tenth of the people you did now or do every monday, I would consider myself more than satisfied with my life....sounds dramatic but its true ... great work

Chris,
the only thing I can say to you - one day you`ll share your talent to a much broader audience all over the world. Don`t say you`ll never return money to the company that`s invested into you - you`ll be the source of profit for them soon.
You`re very talented - unfortunately, in this world the real talents are not always recognized right from the start. But the world will have to hear about you. The more shows you make, the broader your audience is - hadn`t you have noticed it yourself yet?..
The best of luck to you, MyLord.
From Russia, with love -

It was really great seeing the serious and smart side of Chris ( which I knew was there th entire time). You are truly "the whole package"- funny, smart, good looking,
AND a lover of animals!
Could we arrange you to be cloned and distrube you? Then, all of of lonely cat ladies could have our very own "Chris"
Sounds like a plan to me :)

Chris! The back story to your show was very interesting, but I think you need to put down that remote- the zooming in and out made me a little dizzy!
Posted by: Kate | March 03, 2008 at 12:28 PM
Hey Chris. I'm Korean, and let me assure you that fanvid [probably] has nothing to do with Kim Jongil and communism. The word you zoomed in on, 프로포즈, is just a romanization of "propose".
I'M actually surprised to see other Korean fans who're actually subbing your vids. Wonder if they'll get the Pervy and Towel stuff O.o;

I feel so bad. I live in Toronto and I didn't know about your Thursday night theatre shows. :(
Horaay for the internet! Now I DO know... Hopefully you'll come back soon and give us another shot!!

Chris is my lord!

Wow...such a great video. Are you going to tell us how you came to choose having a show about cuteness? I'm a little late to the game; I started watching a few weeks before the infamous "Rhonda" email. Talk about great timing. I agree with Erin; your video today did sound kind of 'final'. Are you getting job offers? Merchandising is a great idea...I would totally walk around with a t-shirt of a pic of Colty with the words "Humping makes you sweaty".
PS= Are ya having fun with that zoom, Grover? "Neeeaaarrr!!!! Faaaarrr!!!"

CHRIS IS A BLENDER MAN!
(Wish he was my blender pet...mmmm!)
Posted by: AJ | March 03, 2008 at 03:05 PM
Hey Chris I really like your show like at first I thought it was a good way to waste some time as you wait for a root canal to take your mind off it but now I am one of those people who anticipate for Monday to come so they can see what you thought of, your show is awsome and you really could get some where with your comedy, like you and Dane Cook look and are funny to be like fricken brothers, lol but you should try to go to the Montreal Comedy Festival. PLEASE GO THEN MY FRIENDS WILL WATCH AND I WILL NO LONGER HAVE TO MAKE THEM WATCH IT! oh and I would go cause I from Sask and my dad or a drunk cow could take me

This is amazing to hear. I'm new to the world of cults revolving around puppies and kittens, but I must say this is the most exciting cult I've ever been in. I've always wanted to know more about how CWC got started and, well... this video did help clear things up a bit.
PS: I agree with Rachel. T-shirt + Colty + "Humping makes you sweaty = many, MANY happy teenagers who hate teenagers, gay bears, boob-obsessed clandestine CWC boy fans, and crazy animal ladies.
