After Show

It's been a month since I did my live show at the Hudson Theatre. This week, I started to go through the material I posted in the weeks leading up to the show and began to think about what I learned from the experience. There will be no traditional episode this week, but I've posted a very rough video explaining what lead to me to start an internet show in the first place, and how I ended up bringing what I'd done online to the stage. Over the next few months, thanks to financial assistance from theatrecentre.org, this archive will find a permanent place on the web. If you'd like to check out the video, you'll find it HERE, or you can click the new LIVE BANNER in the sidebar to the right. More to come with this project.

O man im so glad you use GoogleMaps/GoogleEarth Chris :)
I tryed to find the theater where you did the live show back then but had no luck.
Posted by: barakuda | March 03, 2008 at 03:11 AM
okay so the theater performance was a smash success...when will you have more live performance?!!
Posted by: chech | March 03, 2008 at 04:14 AM
Hey Barakuda... the theatre in Toronto that Chris was referring to is called Theatre Passe Muraille (http://www.passemuraille.on.ca).
Thanks for posting this video Chris. Your work is pioneering, and it is nice to know what the genesis of the idea was.

It's so nice that you reached out to us. My own history: I was looking up funny cat videos, you know, the kind that they show on america's funniest home videos and one of the linkbacks on the side happened to be your show. So I clicked the link and started watching. I cracked up so hard, I had to go and watch every. singe. one. back to back. Three to four hours later, I giggled to myself and started walking around saying "shirtless!" and telling my friends that 'all their dreams are dead!" or randomly going "I want to tickle you!"
I have since gained two more people of the cult although not as fanatic about CWC as I am. (The blasphemy, I know!)
So again, thank you for such a lovely show! :)

chaoticpi: I think it'd be a neat idea for us to have our own post telling our history of how we found CWC.
For me, I just was randomly browsing through YouTube one day and clicked on the "Editor's Pick" or whatever. Ouila! Instant CWC junkie! :)

I figured theatrecentre.org was a Canadian site due to the spelling. Chris, come back to Canada where you are highly appreciated plus we'll throw in free health care.
BTW great video. Very enlightening. You're not only cute but intelligent and creative.

Did I see on theatrecentre.org that they are producing a Cute with Chris live in April 08?
Details please?
Posted by: Bruce | March 03, 2008 at 07:13 AM
Yes, details! Those of us that live close to, but not in Toronto would vote for a weekend performance. Not Thursday at 11 pm.
And hey, now we finally know how to pronounce Chris' last name!

This is so awesome that your archived forever on the internets....you deserve it! And I am glad you finally put an ad on your page.... You deserve some revenue for your work.....now if I can only find a "donate" button!

Yes theatre Centre says " Follow Chris on-line as he takes his internet show to various spaces across the States culminating in a live Toronto " I want more info too.
Heather G, and any other CWC uber-fan~ For discussion on how you came to CWC and all other Chris related discussion check out Culty:

Chris is our life people. And our numbers are growing. Get in on the ground floor so you too can say "I knew Chris when"
Posted by: elmooo | March 03, 2008 at 08:48 AM
Chris, thanks for video. It was neat to see you "in your element"--just talking about your career and stuff.
Jean, I can't get the Avacadolite site either which is a bummer because I visited it often. Maybe they didn't renew server fees or something?

It's nice to know a bit of your back-story and how you were driven to the interwebs. This gives us a better understanding of why you weren't sure anyone would show up at your live show. Suck it people that sleep or get drunk on thursday night, Chris Leavins rocks!
So, are you ready to go on Oprah and become really famous? (and ad another black viewer to your audience) Cos I will write to her people every day untill they let you on. Or would you rather be on Ellen? Just let me know.

I really liked knowing the back story. Congrats on getting the funding. Now we just want to know what the future holds for CWC!

Congrats on the funding for the archives! Can't wait to see more of you.

I would like to finally see the whole live performance. Didn´t milord promise to show the whole show?
Oh and some good news for farm hustle addicteds, i found a webside where you still can play : http://www.jetztspielen.ws/spiele/Denk+spiele/Farm+Hustle.html

I started watching because my friend Andy told me, "If you haven't been watching Cute with Chris on Youtube or cutewithchris.com, I can't imagine what you intend to do with your life that is of any consequence."

oh, many congrats, chris.
i knew there was no way that was that for cwc live, and i for one feel a huge sense of relief that you've spilled the beans. finally!
Posted by: poop | March 03, 2008 at 10:34 AM
Chelsea - your friend Andy was right wasn't he?!
I'm glad he's put this out here - it was a closely guarded Culty secret for a few days!
Posted by: Sarah aka KB | March 03, 2008 at 11:24 AM
