Lindsay in a viewer in INDIANA who sent me a suspiciously excellent vintage portrait of her aunt and uncle and their two cats. You can see the full picture in all its high-quality glory here. Quite often, people will pull entertaining photographs from other websites and pass them off to me as original, so in order to avoid fakery, I put it to CWC viewers to verify the picture's authenticity. The verdict came back as dubious at best. Lindsay wrote me yesterday to tell me that the photo is indeed original, and she has sent proof. CLICK FOR LINDSAY'S PROOF.
When a formal cat portrait this good comes in to CWC, I immediately have to suspect it was pulled from another website and submitted to me as an original. 20 year old Lindsay writes: "...Chris! I found some quality, mid eighties cat portraits of my aunt and uncle in an old photo album. I thought you could exploit them appropriately. Thank you!". What do you think? Is this really Lindsay's aunt and uncle?
Isabelle in NEW YORK writes: "...Dear Chris, I have lately been writing an essay on the famed Canadian pianist Glenn Gould. Through my research I have come across these interesting photos which I think deserve a place in your formal pet portrait gallery, perhaps next to the fabulous photo of our dear prime minister. The dog's name is Nicky. Observe his technique, quite astounding for a creature without opposable thumbs. Sincerely, Isabelle, 20teen, Montreal (currently exiled in New York)." ONE MORE HERE.
Carrie in BC writes: "...Hi Chris: I don't know if you're still doing family pet portraits but I found this in an old box of photos that my dad brought home from the office. Thought I'd share. My family's always been a little off, now I'm starting to realize why.... This is my mom, my dad, and our ever faithful Cairn Terrier, Skye. I'm the one in the pink Little House on the Prairie get up. To answer your question, no... I didn't have a lot of friends growing up."
Jackie from WISCONSIN writes: "...Hi Chris, My friend Clint recently changed his Facebook picture to a photo that I enjoyed very much. I clicked on the picture, and the caption said "Google: Walter and his cat". I didn't need to Google Walter and his cat, for I recalled seeing Walter and his cat before...on Cute With Chris."
Michelle from ITALY writes: "...Ok, this is yet another attempt on my part to get a photo posted on your web site. The other day my gfriends and I were playing dress up and so we just HAD to do a formal cat portrait. Tinkerbaby is my super special half rescued half stolen mother of twelve!
