It's Fun to Feel Sorry for Things!

FrankieOneEyedGreyhound
Laurie 40 teen from the USA writes:
"...Frankie is my greyhound that only has one eye. He had a congenital problem that wasn't treated until my Mom fostered him. He ended up losing one eye and had surgery on the other to save it. The surgery went really well and he shouldn't lose any more vision in his remaining eye and the bad eye isn't around to hurt him anymore.  He was bred as a racing greyhound but because of his bad eyes he was adopted out instead."

The Joy of Pets

Sheila_Florida_Tova
Tova in FLORIDA writes: "...Dear Chris, Reputable sugar glider breeders often show the sweetest, most socialized gliders - making you believe that gliders are the ideal exotic pet, except for the high price tag.  My family has always  "ooed" and "awwed", knowing one day, a glider would be a welcome (ahem) addition to our home. Last week, someone posted a 2 year old glider on a Craigslist-type site and I, the unsuspecting victim, purchased her at a very reduced cost. That's when I met Sheila;  sugar-glider from hell! I should have been tipped off when we went to pick her up.  It sounded like a Tasmanian devil was inside the box as she made a god-awful "crabbing" noise and tried to scratch her way out to eat our faces during the hour long, terror-filled drive home. Since her arrival a few days ago, she's already drawn blood multiple times & has made it quite clear that each member of my family is her bitch. I'm quite certain that the next time I approach her enclosure that I'll be met with a revolving head & be covered in pea soup. I thought I would send you this letter so that you could post her photo and warn your viewers; don't judge a book by it's cover, this is what the devil looks like. Thank you. Tova in Florida."

Little Monster

Savannah_california_sarah
Sarah from CALIFORNIA writes: "...My mother adopted a kitten last May while I was living in South Africa. She was only a week old and had been found abandoned in my cousin's mother-in-law's garage. My mom carried her around in her bra for 3 weeks so that she would have constant body heat and we had to feed her with a very tiny baby bottle several times a day. Since she was feral, she was an attack kitten for months before she finally calmed down.

The Lost Cause

Polecat.

Polecat
You may remember POLE CAT from CWC episode #180. Katie from UTAH writes:
"...Hey Chris, It's Katie from Utah! I just wanted to fill everyone in on the story about the cat! Everything turned out fine. As a tip from my grandma, we called Rocky Mountain Power and they were over to fetch the poor thing down within the hour. I was grocery shopping so I missed it. Bummer. But he's alive and well, and even rubbed up against my legs today when I went across the street to make sure my Christmas lights looked even. Yay for people who care! Lynette's a moron. You still rock, and always will! Katie,  19, Utah P.S. That sounds kind of fake, but I promise this real life happening had a happy ending! (I'll even find it tomorrow and take pictures to prove it.) Thanks Chris!" (DO WE BELIEVE HER?)
